My brothers birthday card
Yesterday was my brothers birthday.
Male cards are not my favourite card to make. I knew I wanted to use the motorbike stamp as my brother rides one, I wanted to take my brayer for a whirl and to emboss the motorbike image in black and silver embossing powder.
my first attempt:
my second attempt using gloss photo paper-FAILED:
my third attempt i liked:

Canvas-Cherish
My brother and SIL are having a baby in July. Her baby shower is tomorrow.
I made this card which she admired and asked if I could make her a bigger version to frame and hang on the wall, with cherish on it.
I decided to recreate it using a canvas as the base instead of cardstock.
Here is the canvas with just the little bodysuits on it:
Adding the cloud and sun cardstock elements:
The completed canvas with the clothes line glued firmly in place:
I hope she likes it.

A Teacup
My nearly 6 year old was invited to a "Tea Party", where the guests were asked to dress as ladies to sip tea and eat dainty food.
The tea party was yesterday and it was wonderful, tiny sandwiches, sausage rolls, butterfly cakes, jam drops, jelly oranges, tea(here in NZ there is a range of tea specifically made for children).
All the little girls were wearing their pretty dresses, they looked so cute.
Naturally I made a teacup card, i got the pattern from splitcoast.

A bright card
My sister asked me if I could make her a bright card with something kind and nice written on it.
I had limited time to make it in.
I used my favourite retired DSP Pink Flamingo as it is bright and cheerful, I made it A5 and the base is Summer Sun, I added lots of pink and clear rhinestones to it which you cant really see in the photo as I took the picture at night.
I also decorated the inside but didnt take a photo of it.
Here is the card:

AJ 19
AJ 19 was about our favourite things, we stuck random bits of paper to our journal pages, mine include drawings my girls made for me and a glossy flyer and other scraps i had lying around, then I painted over it with white paint.
I chose to use punched shapes to record my favourite things on.

AJ 18
I am behind in posting my AJ pages as my main computer had a fit and fried its motherboard, just over a week in the shop being repaired and then downloading all my photos i had taken over the week, i am now behind in my blog posts, nevermind.
The lovely creator of the Just Journal page challenged us to use just paint, ink and our journalling pen and the packet of goodies that she sent to each of us, the contents of the packets were identical and she was interested to see how we all created something different with them.
here is my page:
