Lost In Translation

My DD is going to a 6th birthday party tomorrow so I needed to make a card. I decided to use the colours from the invitation which were pink and purple with a butterfly on it. My good friend made me this awesome card for my birthday:

I loved the design and thought it would look good with the pink, purple and butterflies i had in mind for the 6 year olds card. This is what I created:

Im not happy with the outcome and it looks like the poor cousin of the classy card my friend made but im sure the 6 year old recipient won't notice! Thanks for stopping by, Amanda
